Huntington Disease Risk Curves

Educational and research support tool for clinician and clinician-scientist interpretation of CAP100, PIN-HD, and modeled Huntington disease onset risk curves.

For clinician / clinician-scientist use only. This application provides model-based estimates for educational and research support and should not be used as a standalone basis for diagnosis, prognosis, or patient counseling.

CAP100
73.96
Cumulative exposure metric standardized around CAP100 = 100.
PIN-HD
0.49
PIN-HD ≥ 0.4 (higher near-term risk)
Modeled onset risk (age/CAG): 4% (2y), 12% (5y), 33% (10y)
Conditional median onset age
54
Given no onset yet at the current age.

Interpretation

CAP100 is below the standardized CAP100=100 anchor, consistent with lower cumulative exposure relative to the standardization point. PIN-HD is above 0, which in research settings is generally interpreted as closer to higher near-term diagnostic risk than negative values.

CAP100 is often useful for staging and contextualizing cumulative disease burden in research. PIN-HD is especially useful in research and trial-enrichment settings and should not be used as an isolated clinical decision tool.
